This project investigates the architecture of social housing, specifically in East London, where the stigma is often pervasive. Titled Geodes the model represents the hidden beauty within what many see as cold, concrete structures. A geode, ordinary on the outside, contains sparkling crystals inside. The same can be said of the residents of these blocks—people who shine despite adversity, such as mothers working nights to provide for their families and students striving for a better future. They are the "diamonds" of our community.
